🇫🇷 Gen Z & Premium Subscriptions
According to IPSOS, 90% of the > 35 years old Frenchies have at least 1 paid subscription (vs 70% across all demos). They have 2.9 paid subscriptions (vs 1.8 across all demos). Younger demos not so lost on the value of paying for content. #mythbusted
🎙️ Not So Podlitical
I’m super fond of the
who’s THE mythbuster by excellence. He debunked 26 industry myths. Here’s my favourite one because I had a hunch and it’s now backed with data. #mythbusted🗣️ False start for Prime Video & AI Dubbing
All for Media & Entertainment companies integrating AI into their production processes with content localisation being top of my list. Now there has to be a better way than this.
🏈 🏁Tubi All In On Sports
More sports coming to Free streaming with Tubi set to stream the Super Bowl (for reference they had the Football World Cup in 2022) and launch an exclusive NASCAR FAST channel. For a company whose audience is AVOD first, these are big bets, both on the actual take up and their ability to support live streams at perfection for THE biggest US event of the year.
🩺 History Repeating
30 years to the mark and he’s back. Who? John Carter, well Noah Wyle, who played Dr. Carter in E.R. and is now lead in HBO’s new medical drama “The Pitt”. As Frank Spotnitz, the showrunner of The X Files, put it during Content London: “Cops, lawyers and doctors are still hot”. These shows also allow for longer seasons (15 episodes for season 1), the perfect antidote to gain mainstream audiences and retain serial churners?
